The Sherman Tse Workshop Guitar 2026 is different from Sherman’s fully handmade instruments. Sherman personally undertakes the key structural and acoustically critical stages, while his assistant maker supports him in a number of secondary processes. The result remains firmly rooted in Sherman’s own construction philosophy. The guitar features a Balsa double-top soundboard, following the construction principle associated with Muller, combined with Sherman Tse’s own bracing structure.

What truly impressed our guitarist team, however, was the sound. After spending considerable time with the instrument, all of us were struck by its exceptional tonal balance, projection and color. It combines the warmth, complexity and character often associated with fine Spanish guitars with the dynamic range and projection of a modern double top instrument. The balance between fundamental and overtones is particularly impressive. The sound is powerful and responsive, yet remains colorful and controlled across the entire register. Rather than simply pursuing maximum volume, Sherman has achieved a remarkably musical combination of projection, clarity, warmth and tonal color.

Within its price range, we consider this Sherman Tse Workshop 2026 to be one of the strongest double top guitars we have encountered. It offers a level of refinement and musicality that makes it particularly compelling for both serious players and collectors looking to explore the work of the new generation of luthiers.
