Fonzo Selection is a premium division of Fonzo Guitar, established in Bangkok, Thailand in 2020 as part of the company’s commitment to exceptional guitars and the global guitar community.
The vision behind Fonzo Selection is deeply rooted in the experience of Bird Ekachai Jearakul, the first Asian winner of the Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) Competition. With more than two decades in the guitar world encompassing professional performance, collecting, and close engagement with many of the finest guitars and makers, Ekachai has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the development of Fonzo Guitar.
Building on this foundation, Fonzo Selection was developed as a dedicated platform for the discovery, curation and appreciation of exceptional guitars and their makers. We work closely with musicians, collectors, luthiers and guitar enthusiasts to share knowledge, stories and resources surrounding outstanding instruments.
Through our website, showroom and media channels, we introduce selected guitars and provide insight into their history, craftsmanship, sound and character, while sharing the perspectives and experience developed through years of engagement with the guitar world.
Ultimately, Fonzo Selection is about connecting people, knowledge and exceptional instruments, creating a space where musicians and collectors can discover guitars that are truly worthy of attention.

Bird Ekachai Jearakul, the first classical guitarist from Thailand and in Asia to win the Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) Concert Artist Competition 2014, which is known as the most prestigious guitar competition in the world.
Ekachai Jearakul was born in 1987 in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand. He started to train his first musical instrument on trumpet at the age of 10. When he was 13 years old, he heard the music piece named “Hungry Man Blues”, composed by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, arranged and played on classical guitar. He was inspired and decided to play classical guitar since then.
Ekachai continued his study in Classical Guitar Performance at the College of Music, Mahidol University, where he majored in classical guitar and was awarded scholarship for all his years there. After he graduated his bachelor's degree in Classical Guitar Performance with first class honor, he received a full scholarship to complete a master's degree in the Classical Guitar Performance at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.
Ekachai took part in his first international classical guitar competition in 2004. Between 2004 - 2014, he earned a lot of experience from his worldwide journeys and won more than 30 international guitar competition rewards. Finally, he picked up the first prize of Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) International Concert Artist Competition 2014. He is the first one from Asia to won this prize in GFA history. This reward brought him the honor to release his own classical guitar album with the world famous record label “Naxos” and went on hundreds of world tour concert later on, including giving recitals in the prestigious concert halls, such as Carnegie Hall in America. Besides that, he has performed as a soloist in various countries with world leading orchestras.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, Fonzo Selection is not a party to any purchase or sale transaction relating to an instrument presented through the platform. Any agreement concerning the purchase of an instrument, including its price, payment, delivery, transfer of ownership, condition, warranty and other terms, is entered into directly between the relevant parties. Fonzo Selection does not determine or guarantee the terms of any transaction between an owner and a prospective purchaser.
5. Prices and Availability
Prices and availability of instruments may change without prior notice. The designation of an instrument as “Inquire”, “Archive”, “Collection”, “Reference” or any other status on the website does not by itself constitute an offer, guarantee of availability or confirmation of ownership. Interested parties should contact Fonzo Selection for the latest information concerning any particular instrument.
6. Limitation of Responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Fonzo Selection shall not be responsible for any agreement, dispute, loss or claim arising directly from a transaction entered into between an instrument owner and a prospective purchaser. Any transaction, payment, delivery, transfer of ownership or other contractual arrangement is subject to the terms agreed between the relevant parties. Nothing on this website is intended to create an agency, partnership, joint venture or other legal relationship between Fonzo Selection and any instrument owner or prospective purchaser unless expressly established by a separate written agreement.
